Lobi in closed camp at Oju

Ahead the new Nigeria Premier League season, Lobi Stars FC has regrouped and relocated its camp to Oju, which is about 174 kilometres away from its Makurdi base.

Lobi Stars Vice Chairman who doubles as Technical Director, Dominic Iorfa told Trustsports in a telephone interview that the Oju closed camp is to allow the players have maximum concentration ahead of the coming soccer season.

The ex-BCC Lions and Abiola Babes goal poacher also informed that the club’s target this coming season is to win silverware in the local league as well as pick one of the continental tickets at the end of the season.

“Yes, Lobi has moved to Oju for closed camping and the reason is for us to ensure that the players get maximum concentration as we prepare for the new season which kicks off January 7.

“We are not taking chances this time around because our target this coming season is to win something in the league and also pick one of the continental tickets to represent Nigeria in the CAF competitions. We believe this will allow us focus on the task ahead”, the former Super Eagles attacker stated.

It will be recalled that Lobi Stars played all their home matches in the last Nigeria Premier League season away in Jalingo and Bauchi, finishing 8 on the league table.
