The Coach Jamhuri Kihwelo tutored Vijana Stars, have boasted to give the Dream team V a run for their money despite admitting after their first leg victory that the return leg would be a difficult encounter for his side.
Speaking ahead of the must win game for Nigeria, Inter Milan defensive midfielder, Obiora Nwankwo asserted that the Dream team is aware of the task ahead and are in the right frame of mind to deliver come Saturday.
“We all know it’s a much needed game and we have been doing our best ever since we came back from Tanzania to see that we leave up to expectation come Saturday” All we ask is that Nigerians continue to pray for us because we need much of that right now” Obiora said.
He added that” We will continue to encourage ourselves as a team, we will go all out to do what we know how to do best because the atmosphere is perfect and I can say that we are battle ready”
Similarly, Atletico Baleares of Spain strongman, Edet Ibok believes that with the caliber of players in the team’s camp, the Vijana stars will not stand the heat today. “I believe in the caliber of players we have in camp right now. For the Tanzanians they are a strong side but we had enough chance to bring them down in their home but we were unlucky but I believe we have been able to correct all those mistakes, am confident we will bring them down in Benin” declared Edet.
The Vijana stars arrived yesterday, and would be camped at ISNO hotel, GRA Benin city.
Match officials for the game are from Senegal while the Match commissioner Zombre Emmanuel is from Bokina Faso
