Ahmed Musa to miss Super 4

Ahmed Musa, Nigeria’s domestic league highest goal scorer of all time, who netted 18 goals in the just concluded league season to set a new national record will miss this year’s edition of the super 4 competition holding in Ijebu-Ode between 2nd-8th August 2010 due to international assignment.

The Nigeria Premier League all-time top scorer will be travelling with the Nigeria U-20 team in the return leg of the Africa U-20 qualifying match slated for next weekend in Guinea.

He however expressed optimism that the calibre of players in the Kano Pillars team will go all out to win the super 4 competition, despite his absence.

“I know and I believe that my teammates will do a good job and I have confidence in them to win the competition”.

Ahmed Musa will be joining VVV Velon of Holland immediately after the qualifying match.
