Eaglets stars make list of Home based Eagles

Ahead of the 2011 2nd edition of the Orange CAF African Nations Championship to be staged in Sudan, the Nigeria Football Federation has invited 42 Homes-based Super Eagles players to camp and among them is the captain of the 2009 Golden Eaglets, Fortune Chukwudi whose eligibility for the cadet championship generated a lot of controversy.
Other members of the 2009 silver winning Golden Eaglets who have been invited to the camp which opens on January 4 in Abuja are Terry Envoh, Stanley Okoro, Kayode Olarewanju
The Home based Eagles will be handled by former Flying Eagles Chief Coach Ladan Bosso who doubles as coach of Wikki Tourists of Bauchi.
The team is expected to play a two-legged encounter against Niger Republic in Niamey, between the 12th & 14th March, 2010 while the return leg will take place in Abuja between the 26th & 28th March, 2010.
The winner qualifies from the group along with two other countries from matches to be played between Togo / Cote D’Ivoire and Ghana / Burkina Faso during the same period.
The invited players, include Austin Brown , Ike Thankgod, Efugh Chinedu, Agbah Uche Nwabike Okey, Akpan Bassey, Chibuzor Okonkwo, Bernard Okoronwata , Ejiogu Chijioke, Nnaemeka Anyanwu, Nwabili valentine , Ekene Iwuorie, Idehen Osamudiamen, Thankgod Amehule , John Gaadi, Suswan Terna, James Ekwosah.
Others are Mutiu Adegoke, Jonah Abutu, John Nnam, Sunday Onuminya, Isiaka Olawale Solomon Okpako, Sherif Isa , Abdulkashir Ajagun, Salami Suleiman, Ogude Fergon , Afolabi Seun, kayode Abiodun, Chidi Osuchukwu, Abdul-Malik, Ibrahim Babale, James Moses , Muideen Oyewale.
Rasheed Bamgbose, Joan Aouduogu, Otubanjo Yusuf and Isiaka Raheem complete the list of players invited to camp.
Meanwhile, to ensure a successful camping, the NFF President, Alh. Sani Lulu Abdullahi has directed clubs in the country to release the selected players promptly as the players are expected to report at the NFF Secretariat unfailingly on the 4th January, 2010.
